Can I use flower essences if I am alcohol sensitive?
Flower blends are usually made by putting 3 drops of each stock essence into a one ounce dosage bottle that is prepared with 1/3 preserving liquid (brandy, vegetable glycerin, vinegar) and 2/3 spring water. Flower essences have been used successfully by many persons who are alcohol sensitive. Only 3-5 drops of each stock essence is added to the prepared dosage bottle, so there is less than one hundredth of one percent of alcohol present in a dosage bottle which is prepared with vegetable glycerin or vinegar.  Still, some clients will opt to use essences only through topical application (lotions, oils, sprays), which works well too.

Can I take flower essences if I am on medication?  Can I use them to get off my medication?
Because essences are a vibrational therapy their impact is not from direct physical or chemical intervention in our bodies.  They can be used in conjunction with other therapies, including prescribed medications for both physical and emotional ailments. It is important for anyone taking prescribed medications to have their condition monitored by the prescribing physician, and not to attempt to discontinue prescribed medication without the supervision of the prescribing physician.

What is the difference between flower essences and essential oils (aromatherapy)?
The most noticeable difference is that essential oils have aroma and flower essences do not.  Essential oils work through the vehicle of the physical body, where flower essences impact the subtle energy fields of the client to affect well being.  Essential oils can be toxic if ingested or misused, while flower essences are very safe whether taken internally or used on the skin.
